Rentaway
Task
Brand identity and design of an easy-to-use beautifully designed website for travellers and a web app management platform for owners.
Rentaway is a new category of hospitality service which offers travelling experiences and an unprecedented level of service to the discerning traveller. Finding and booking a unique vacation can be one of the most difficult process a traveler can take and lead to unmet needs. We worked with Rentaway to reinvent the experience and make the process of selecting and booking homes, yachts and experiences as simple, easy, trustworthy and informed as possible.
The project encompasses brand strategy and positioning, messaging, brand identity, advertising, art direction, website and product design.
During the creation of its visual identity, the challenge was to find a solution that would make the brand symbol reflect the three main elements of the business offering, homes, yachts and experiences.
The result is a strong, recognisable and memorable brand image. The brand identity has been widely promoted by both general and specialist media.
Through the website and app, guests can search for specific types of homes or yachts with convenient search functionality, intuitive filtering, and simple cards. In addition, Rentaway includes listings for specific services on its platform, as Experiences; members may book both virtual and live activities with guides, including scuba diver training, cooking classes, tours, meetups, etc.
We use a simple, spacious and clean layout system as our foundation that delivers a welcoming and accessible experience regardless of a user’s language or location. Through dynamic blocks of colour, the prominent use of vibrant lifestyle photography, and moments of playful disruption, we inject authenticity, personality and creativity into the design.
Rentaway provides a platform for hosts that allows them to easily manage their listings. With searching and sorting, hosts can update information across multiple listings at once. Platform features include onboarding, listing management, review system, host interaction and booking history.
Throughout the design process, the hosts co-designed this experience with us so that it covered their needs. Prototypes of divergent models allowed us to explore host’s unique approach to hospitality. We created a reliable and easy to use platform for the hosts.
